How to Wash & Care for Socks
To keep your socks in their best, brightest and most comfortable condition, follow these simple care and wash instructions.
Always check the care instructions on the socks’ individual packaging first — specific yarns and finishes can have their own requirements.
Wash socks inside out. This washes out odor-causing bacteria and reduces pilling and fluffing caused by socks rubbing against each other and other clothes in the wash.
Do not bleach. A bleaching agent can damage fibres, elastane and colour. Use a mild detergent and wash with similar colours.
Wash in cool or warm water rather than hot, and avoid high-heat tumble drying — excessive heat shortens the life of the elastic and can shrink natural fibres. Air-drying is best.
Avoid fabric softeners on performance and cushioned socks, as they can coat moisture-wicking yarns and reduce their effectiveness.
